Mini New Yorker and Her Christmas

So it's Christmas Eve Morning and up and ready to travel a few hours to my mums house to start our festivities. After our what can only be describe slightly obscene office Christmas do!! I got stitched up Royally.....my boss swapped the Secret Santa so he would have me so I would get the obscene shaped chocolates....but I am happy to say that one of my colleagues got my boss...and bought him a green mankini...which he promptly tried it on....!! Very amusing but I just don't think lime green is really his colour...that's probably not what I should be worrying about really...!!!

Any way back to my family Christmas, I got to my mums at lunch time so we had several cups of tea and then our neighbour popped round to give us a Christmas gift...!  We started to get the house ready....I think spent most of the afternoon cleaning the bathrooms....!! I was then sent to get the last bits of the shopping...tried to find a few bargains but unfortunately there weren't any!! I was in there ages....I started of with a basket which got too heavy to I gave up carrying it and then just slid it a few feet when a nice sale guy asked if I wanted a trolley instead (much better option)..which he rushed off to get and then transferred my shopping from the basket into my trolley!! Good job I hadn't bought anything embarrassing...!!  Any way I picked my brother up and we went home to have dinner and wrap the last of my brothers presents...(which I do every year-what is it about boy wrapping or lack there of????)  I think it doesn't matter how old a male is wrapping presents is just not in their DNA..!!

Any way with the house as ready as it would ever be so I sneaked my mums stocking out of the living room where it was hanging up and ran up stairs to fill it up with all the goodies my brother and I had got for her this year...!! It's a kind of a tradition that us, Murray's never stick to the stocking...we always have over flow bags...!!

Well Christmas day and I was up so early that I was not used to seeing that time of day!! I had a lovely cup of tea straight out of a fresh pot and we stuck on the AGA and put in some croissants and got some yummy smoked salmon....unfortunately I could not saver the moment as I had to started peeling potatoes, parsnips- which will be honey roasted of course, Baby carrots (which were sooo cute) sprouts and other root vegetables. Then we opened our stockings which we got some lovely things...lots of sweeties yay... My mum and I got most of the food ready and the table set....then I showered and put on my "Sunday" best which was my blue sparkly dress and glitter silver tights...which I love...!! I have seen a few more sparkly dresses which I would like to buy when I have a bit more cash flowing...!!

So all the relatives arrived and the kettle was on and the sherry was being poured...!! Presents were all unloaded and then once everyone had the right drinks...my cousins and I handed out the presents...some didn't have labels so it was a memory game of which presents were for who...!! Any way this year we reverse the order oldest first...! It was nice, I got one present from my cousin which was a large zip....which confused me.....I sat looking at it...then I twigged and started to zip it and it started to make a shaped....I finished the zipping and it was a little make up bag.....!! Very cool!! I also got a RED WII too...to try and get me fitter...!!

Then it was time for lunch and we got everything out of the oven served up all the food and the best gravy ever made...(it was made by my mother-totally yummy and full of flavour.) We pulled the crackers and then lit some candles for those we had loved and lost in our family...!! To them we toasted and then tucked in to a lovely dinner...which was soo filling...I couldn't finish my christmas pudding but I did get my 20p...!!

So dinner was wrapped up and christmas tv on, we all settled to watch various shows....several rounds of coffee later... it was time for some of my relatives to go home and then all over again in London with my other uncle and aunt...with our secret santa box/lucky dip.. on boxing day!

So Christmas day is over and now for the second round on boxing day...sorry pardon the pun....any way toodles..xx

Mini New Yorker and snowy christmas on the cards.... and the last of Ugly Betty...so sad....!!

Snow covered village
It's snowed...I have been wearing two coats all week as it has been soooo cold lol!! I am really hoping that it doesn't continue to snow because I have very sore feet from chilblains and would like to be able to walk properly, as at the moment I look a bit odd when I am walking and I pull an awful face...!

Driving in the weather is not very fun...a journey which normally takes 20 mins took an hour-and-half. I thought I would never get home but my Nissan Micra and I did very well and even some of the big 4x4s were struggling....and my Micra is an automatic so the only way to slow down is to break and this weather is not fun...however my Micra or mousemobile as it's affectionately known as did very well...!!

I'm starting to get more excited about Christmas now at my mum's house looking forward to sitting down with the family and having a great dinner....my mum's Christmas dinners are amazing!!! She could feed the five thousand..!! I have the job of making the soup for our starter which was very well received last time so might tweak it a little- for the element of surprise...! I am wondering if it will be a white Christmas because we might not be able to get to London on Boxing Day for our traditional family box/ secret Santa thing we do- very fun!

It has been snowing the last couple of days (actually the few weeks- for goodness sake) but it's stopped for the time being but the weather says its going to snow on Thursday and Christmas Eve....! I hope not as I have to get down the M25 and go through the country lanes to get to my mum's. I don't think I will be in my best gear to travel down as I will be stuck in my car for several hours may end up pushing it most of the way.....I really need my sparkly wellies from the Isle of Wight.

On Thursday it's our Christmas work's do, so can't wait for that as we are doing a secret Santa for that too...but we are all trying to guess who's got who and we're not very good at keeping it a surprise- that seems to be a running theme for me - lol!! Any way should be good fun....here comes the gold glittery tights...might even wear glitter gold eye liner too just to be OTT!! Yay! Not sure what shoes yet as it depends if I go for warmth and sensible or if I go for stylish and freeze your feet off look! Not quite decided.....!!! lol!

I am going to be putting up my little cupboard in my bedroom which is going to be for all my nail varnishes as I'm trying to collect as many as I can with loads of different colours...! There is room for my newest arrival which is fuchsia pink which my work colleague got me.....!! Barry M baby...wooop woop...!

Oh and just to say goodbye to Ugly Betty....I cried through both episodes and I am going to need the box sets to stop me from having withdrawal symptoms. I loved Uglys Betty's fashion in these episodes and I am going to be hunting them down and stocking my wardrobe...!!! I have started to give style advice out...well actually I was asked to help find someone a red sequin dress for New Yea'rs Eve and I think I found it in about 10 seconds...that's got to be some sort of record- surely?

Any way I am off to bed....I will post more tomorrow as I will be getting ready for the big parrrtaaaayyy!! So you know it by now TOOOOOOOODDDDLLLLLLLEEEEEEES haha!! xxx

Mini New Yorker.....70 pots of tea, nattering with mum...and Ugly Betty

So I have had a great day with my mum having several pots of tea....I don't think the kettle was off for more than about a second.....we had a lovely day together, getting ready for our family Christmas.....!! I started to make my famous soup me and my dad practised it before Christmas day.....!! I started it today and got half way through making it and I had to head home so I left it to my mum to finish....!! It was my dads favorite soup recipe....so I will make it for us in memory of him I know he would enjoy it!!

It's 10 days now till Christmas and I am only just starting to get excited about it....but My mind is Pre-occupied about something else....which I am not aloud to talk about but I am just bursting with excitements but I have to wait before I can tell you guys but I am hoping it will be soon and then I will burst.....!!

When I got home I made an even hotter chili than last week and then I watch Ugly Betty- come over to this side of the pond....it was funny because the Americans think we either all talk like the queen or do cockney rhyme....I how ever do talk like the queen a little bit because I am from a posh town...even my friends from the same town think I am posh....I don't think I am that posh it's not like I have a polo club in my back garden...lol!!
Any way I am off before I spill my secret/ surprise...well what I think will happen.....? Toodles xxx

Mini New Yorker....present all wrapped up....then unwrapped....then rewrapped......

So I wrapped up all my present and was very pleased with my self until I had a bit of a panick when I went to look for my debit card and I couldn't find it....I literally turn my house and car up side down and shook them to see if my debit card fell out....!! So I decided in a moment of panic to check if I had accidently wrapped it because I had chucked it in with the shopping and I had used some of the bags for cushioning. I have now got to rewrap the presents because I couldn't fit the items back in the bloody paper.....I was so cross with my self for losing my card right before christmas....So I now having the challenge of rewrapping.....What a muppet........what ever I'm wearing can't stop me looking stupid from this fiasco....my mum laughed at me too....!! Me and my boyfriend were not laughing when I was tearing the house apart and running around Asda....!! It's only going to be a short one tonight because its a school night as it were and I will have more to write about on wed...as I'm going to see my mother for a cup of tea and a good natter as well as get the house ready for when the whole of the family come over for christmas day....can't wait but also looking forward to after christmas too.....should be exciting stuff.....!! right toodles xxx

Mini New Yorker Getting her festive groove on....

Wooooo!! I have just put up my Christmas tree and it looks fabulous....red and gold with, tinsel and ribbon to make it look even prettier. I have used red baubles and little god ones....I have also used candy canes to hang on the tree too. Its simply styles but it's an effective look....especially if money is not flowing before Christmas. You can get your baubles from various place, local superstores or some where like Ikea are good places to get lots for a small budget. Or if you want something a bit glamorous then I know Chic Interior Solutions may have something some very nice candles holders...!! Or have a look at my Christmas Moose/ Reindeer is from the Christmas range last year but there may be similar items available.

I have also got a wooden Advent calendar which is I can put little chocolates in and then my boyfriend and I will take turns in opening the days. So we went to our local food store to get our weekly food and I did a bit of Christmas shopping too...I was in the cosmetic aisle having a look at a few bits and lady started to ask my opinion about some make-up and I started to give her advise about what would suit her and best for her skin tones. I laughed and said to her well I should know what I am doing as I write a fashion blog....!! I must have looked like I knew what I was doing..! lol!!
Well the house looks lovely and I have done a bit more shopping... I am going to start wrapping things.....I am going to be ultra organised this year. I have bought some of 5X £2 presents for the big box which my family do a big lucky dip kinda thing and then we do a swap depending what we get if we want to its very fun.... when my brother and I were younger we would actually all dive in to the box....it was a bit manic but we all loved it...Last year we ended up having a bit of a disco in my uncles kitchen and we were given tasks to do too. I had to iron my uncles shirt...very funny!

So my question to you guys what are your family traditions and what would you like to do...? Any favorite foods you get...we always have flumps....! Any way I am going to get some more wrapping down now so I am off so toodles.xxxxx

Mini New Yorker....Lanvin for H&M Haute Couture Fashion show New York 2010

Button bracelet made by my dad
Button bracelet
So it's been very busy in the fashion world with plenty of fashion shows....London, Paris, New York, Miami, Milan! But I thought the best was definitely the H&M fashion show which took key pieces from their range and made them more individual with the help of Lanvin!  Some pieces will being sold for Unicef!

The clothes were amazing.... I love the pink dress which was accompanied by a very cute grey poodle! I thought the catwalk was lovely with the arch of flowers and general energy and fun brought by the models and designer was just great!

I think that is the first time I have seen the models on a fashion show actually look like they were having fun down down the catwalk... I wish I could have gone...maybe next year I will get an invite? It kinda reminded me of some of the choices our Fabulous Sex In The City star- SJP would wear.

Oh yes the Sex In The City 2 is out on dvd that I am going to have to  get.....I was looking at some SJP's outfits from the series and the films....I think I would now wear a lot of her stuff....well only if I had her credit card limit....lol! But actually I suppose you don't need to spend loads, like the H&M fashion has shown that you can get basics and style.....its more fun too....! I went into a haberdashery store and it was like I was in Aladdin's cave...or like when I was younger in Hamleys in London just before Christmas- kind of a family thing- we would go up to London and look at the lights and windows of the big department stores-they were so creative and beautiful they were like works of art. Anyway when my brother and I would go to Hamleys and head to the sweet floor, we would stuff the sweety bags full....I remember one year I think it came to about £25 worth of sweets.....on the way home we sat in the back of my dad's Jeep Cherokee just munching on them....I don't think we were meant to, mind you...I do remember being told not to eat them until after dinner-oops!!!

I think if you have a coat or top with buttons and when you buy it, it's got plain buttons on it-then that would be my first thing I would change. Get some over sized button or ones with detail. You don't have to stick with buttons that are all the same- mix it up!! Buttons themselves can be accessories...I have a brilliantly made button bracelet which was hand made for me by some one very special and when ever I miss them I wear it....its very funky and it livens up an outfit by just a small change....!! They are in-expensive, a few minutes to sew and a new look to an old outfit- thats good maths....!!! The best way to save too is to collect any button that come of the clothes you bought and then make it into accessories...!! Well my boyfriend and I got our little Christmas tree out and I am off to get some more decorations...!! Toodles xx

MIni New Yorker...its snowed and I have discovered a onsie....

So it snowed.....and I discovered a Onsie. I think it's a great idea and you can get one from primark.....especially in this weather!! Last time it snowed I got locked out of my house last year and was bursting for the loo, my car nearly got hit because the cars were slipping all over the road but mine was saved because a neighbour wedged her self between her car and mine so they wouldn't hit....in the end I had to used my neighbours toilet which I just ran up stair and shouted down "don't mind me" I then came back down and introduced my self properly which I was then offered pizza and a cup of tea and we had a good giggle about the whole incident. Now every Wednesday we have a cup of tea and a bit of a gossip with my neighbour....!! I have been trying to keep my style from being ruined by wearing about 70 layers....but I am just sooo cold....!!! I think I was wearing two long cardigans the other day...and that was in the office....!!!

Now as I was browsing the Internet and I found a dress which I recognised straight away from Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was the black and cream dress where she was mistaken for as a waitress- don't worry this won't happen if you buy this dress. Even so it is a great dress and if you want to make a subtle statement then this is the dress for you...!!

Now Boohoo.com has some great stuff for the party season....especially some sequined dresses...I have been looking for more sequin dresses for ages...and there's lots, a few are lovely black and gold ones...think they were about £20 as well so a real bargain . I also seen on the boohoo.com, some great leggings they have...some lovely silver sequin ones if you are gonna be wearing a long top for your Xmas party and you need to jazz it up a bit then this is a good option or they have some some gorgeous black sexy satin leggings for that even sexier look. You can wear them with any top...and it will still be foxy...I'm gonna get a pair-only £10!!! Foxy Mini New Yorker is gonna be a gooooood look!! Now I would buy some cheeky peeptoe lace court shoes in a choice of silver, pink and gold.....that's gonna cause a dilemma £25 a pop probably not an option for me to buy all three but I think I would buy the silver so they can be put with more outfits- but I'm very tempted to buy them all any way......lol! Now we are expecting more snow so it would be silly not to make sure we are looking as gorgeous in the adverse weather conditions....faux fur is a must this year....I have gorgeous black coat which just is sooooo warm....I have also had a browse at wellies....now I have a silver glittery pair (which are still in the isle of wight after leaving them there after going to the festival). There are is a cute pair of Alexa Harlequin print wellington which are only £15 also very cute. I think it would be sensible to get some wellies as I am not going to be running around in stilettos like last year....so if you have to wear wellies you may as well be stylish in them...yes?

I do have one question to all you ladies out there...Jumpsuits-yay or nay? I saw Kate Moss in a jumpsuit recently not in person you understand but....she can get away with it, as I am only 5"3 and a bit and I don't have legs up to here so would it work...I am sceptical...!

Any way now I have an even more to say as I am a whole sale assistant buyer for Chic Interior Solutions so girls not only will I give you great fashion advice and I can now let you know the best and most chic accessories for you home....I will be bringing you the product of the week...so keep an eye out for my new suggestions and photos....coming soon....right I think I need to get my self another hot chocolate to keep me warm so you know it toodles xxxx

Mini New Yorker...her New ASOS Mouse ring (ok I gave in)....and drinking a good cup of coffee....

So as a busy fashionista I have had an after work event which was a Hugh success and I am looking forward to the one in my branch on Thursday....I loved mingling with everyone!! Got to do it all again....our office is going to be like a tin of sardines but very glamorous at that!! If we have loads of people in at once.... I think we may have to have a one in-one out policy.....!!! Forget about all the hip London clubs, its the place to be !!!Well I wouldn't say no if I got an invite for a VIP party....I would certainly be dressed to impress....it would be a bit embarrassing as a fashionista and fashion blogger if I was under dressed or in something awful...!!! I have seen the most amazing pink hat with a lovely bow from a collection at House of Fraser again I would wear that I think that would look great in the winter or summer...!! Oh and I did buy the little mouse ring as it was sooo cute and only £6 and it my nickname afterall.

Now I am quite fussy about my shoes and the styles I would wear...I am loving high stilettos which I totter around in... as I am only 5"3 and a bit, so any extra high means I can see the world from a different perspective...lol!! Or just be at a normal height. Any way this winter peep toe heels are in and so are lace... now new look have some great choices and I think I just mentally spent about £200 just on their shoes, not just that but they have 20% off too so why not!!! The Satin Bow shoes in red only £18.39 they would look fantastic with a party dress or stick them on with some skinny jean with a ruffle top...sexy chic perfect to just pop down to the chic bar or cocktails with your girlfriends on a lunch date....!! Lace heels either peep toe or normal are just so sexy. However girls this weekend it is meant to snow so I am not suggesting you go out in the snow in these shoes as you may freeze. It should be time to wrap up warm and go tobogganing instead. Now I am off to do a bit of a whizz round with the vacuum cleaner and start cooking dinner which is Chili and chocolate chili....mmmmm yum yum...!! Oh no I just turned to the movie channel on sky...eek confessions of a shopaholic is on.....this always makes me feel bad. But I do love her green corset top and shoes in the dancing scene....! I do feel that the manikins do knock on the window from the stores when I walk past....it's so hard isn't girls?

Right I am off now but I am looking forward to more Ugly Betty later so I will tweeting no doubt sooo toodles xx

Mini New Yorker...X Factor and Twiggy lookalike.....

So I watched the X Factor tonight and I thought that Katie was a great surprise and instantly when I saw her new hair she reminded me of a photo I had seen...I have just remembered who it was. I was thinking she looked like a young Twiggy and Audrey Hepburn. I was amazed, she looked fantastic in that beautiful cream dress that she wore this evening....looked much more sophisticated and glamorous. I think I would definitely wear that, I am trying to find where I can buy one from it's a good dress as a basic which you dress up or down. Now when I had my hair cut as short as Katie has had done I some how looked like a boy.....lol!! It was to the point the American Customs Officer checking my passport asked me why I had cut my hair.....as my passport was me with long hair. I have got to say I don't think I have ever had it cut that short since and would be unlikely to at the risk of being mistaken for a boy again!!! I suppose when I was 17 I was skinny and not really the curvy chica I am now...!! I think Katie suits that hair cut but ladies when you are choosing hair cuts make sure you look at the hair cut and the shape of the persons face as it may not suit you....!! I don't want you to be having that awkward chat with a security/customs officer about bad hair do's!!

I forgot to mention that I have fallen in love with Whittards white hot chocolate, it is amazing its like just a melted dream bar....!!! Yummy!! I think there's a few other flavours...rocky road hot chocolate sounds quite yummy too!! I think I am going to get down to Whittards......worth the £5's I think....!! My colleague mentioned she had brought some White hot chocolate and after her lunch she returned bearing gifts....!! We joked about one of her friends dropping of  2 tubs of Ben & Jerry's but she said she had a tub of Haagendaaz at home....I was ready with my plastic spoon...but she said it would have melted in our office as we had the heating cranked up...!!! It would have been a weird sight us eating ice cream in our office Santa's grotto. Today I wore my Grey shirt with my lovely black flower broach on the collar, some long peals necklace....which had been three strands but when I was at the Isle of Wight festival it broke as I got off the bus and went flying all over the grass....!! I wore a grey wrap around jumper and my long black cardigan as it was not warm this morning at silly o'clock !!!Lol!!

Although at least it wasn't icy today as the last few days I have had to crawl through from the passenger side as my drivers door lock was frozen. Which was a bit of a pain as they were the days I wore my dress suit and high heels. I am sure I was accidentally flashing my pants as I crawled across. I will learn my lesson, last winter I didn't have any wellies and I ended up wearing my knee high boots which didn't have much grip and there were a few time where I nearly went flying....!!

I am going to be careful this year as I do not want to end up in A&E like I did a few months back now where I had come of the cinema after watching the film and it was raining and I some how managed to slip on a drain and semi dislocate my shoulder and spend the rest of the Saturday night in A&E instead of getting our take away and watching the x factor, thank goodness for Sky +!! It was weird as I never step on drains as I always used think it was bad luck- kinda proved my own point. That will be the first and last time we would go to that town as it was probably a bad omen. I was how ever more worried that I had ruined my new dress and shoes and my bag which had landed in a puddle with my iPhone some where at the bottom.  Well my dress was fine and so was my iPhone but my shoulder had to be put in a sling and I was meant to be doing a staff bowling night a week after....not good!! I was given very strong painkillers as it was agony. The police officers that looked after me that called the paramedics were very nice. I did feel a bit stupid being x-police and me in floods of tears but I was in a lot of pain. But any way I think I am off to bed now as I am tired. so night night all and toooodleesss xxx

Mini New Yorker and her productive day at the office....turning it into santa's grotto

So a very productive day in the office....We managed to transform the office with a box of tinsel, into Santa's grotto....!! There's quite a bit of competition between the two offices....!! We used purple and gold tinsel, I think all we are missing now is a snow machine and Rudolph. I haven't started to decorate my house yet...I will do when I feel up to it....I am a red and gold fan for the Christmas decorations...gives it a lovely warm cosy feeling. I used to love to help my parents decorate the Christmas tree...!! Mini New Yorker and my family have a few traditions at Christmas. We would all decorate the Christmas tree.... then on Christmas eve (which I never went out with my friends) because I was always busy wrapping my brother Christmas presents. It would normally end up with me trying to show him how to wrap the presents....!!! We also make mince pies on Christmas eve and get ready for the big family dinner we have every year. Last year we were at my uncles house and me, my Mum and Uncle decided it would be good to start a disco in his kitchen...some very embarrassing dancing which I believe was caught on a video which will be brought out to a good embarrassing moment. We also had tasks to complete and I got iron one of my uncles shirts...the most creased shirt in the world....I think there were various jokes about house wife skills.....lol!!

Any way off to bed now soooo toodles xxx

Mini New Yorker...window shopping at ASOS.com and her christmas wish list....

I love ASOS.....I was window shopping as I know this close to Christmas, I shouldn't buy any thing....I have just found the most amazing clutch which is a Paparazzi magazine Clutch for £45.00 I think that's a bargain there were are lots of different colour ways too....I am definitely going to buy one....!! Oh yes I also saw a Mouse Ring which was soooo cute and only £6 which is also a bargain.....And seeing as my nickname is mouse I really think it is appropriate to buy that....and it's so cute....!!

My list is getting longer by the day for what I want to buy from ASOS. I think for the party season you do need some skinny sparkly bangles and lots of them...mix them with chunky bracelets and some nice earrings either large stud's or some beautiful dankly earrings.....!!! Obviously accessories are important to have but I also think you need some colourful tight and shoes. So again I found some amazing gold glittery tights which I have been looking for, for ages. Now for my dress Ideas...there is a lovely shift dress which is electric blue.....only £16...adding that to the basket oh yes....Girls if you want to stand out at the office party be bold and go with something bright/or with frills but just make sure...its the dress that's going to turn heads.....they may turn their head so fast the will get whip-lash or like in the films everyone turns in slow motion and the wind machine kicks in...lol!!! Ok so I can't help with the dramatic effects but when you're in that dress you will make your own affects...!!! So girls get those show stopping dresses....! There is a dress for every budget if you have a small budget you can look in the clearance on ASOS so many dresses.

Now shoes....don't go for the black ones.....so your wearing a blue dress, picks red/ pink.....just mix and match... colours and patterns...!! I am going to say this once Ugly Betty seems to be the current trend.....I had a look at some of the new trend off the catwalk of  London, New York and Paris fashion week and it seems to me that she's a trendsetter...all this mixing and matching definitely is the Ugly Betty style.

I can't wait for the sales......But for now I am going to get my beauty sleep so toooodles xx

Mini New Yorker and a long lie in reading her fabulous book on my day off....and relax..

So today is my day off...which I am very grateful for as Ugly Betty is on again later... But any way I woke up at 10.am and read my book for 2 hours in bed...I lost track of time!! Now I am up with cold feet, hence another reason to stay tucked up in bed for a bit longer....!!! I am not liking this weather its soooo bloody freezing and wearing about 20 layers is not the best fashion statement in the world. I do wonder how singers are able to stop their teeth chattering while they try to sing but instead freeze on a festival stage....even in our summers its not particularly warm. Not for me I don't think.

When I was in the police I hated the winter as I would be out in the cold, trying to retrieve stolen canoes that had been use as a toboggan when it snowed. And I would always loose a glove....and because I was so small I got given fluorescent water proof trousers.....I looked like a radio active banana I looked sooo stupid...and that was not un-noticed. There would just be a little yellow blur as I had to run some where for a job or the need to pee!!! When you try to run with a massive jacket, a tool belt, a stab vest and various other thing especially when you feet don't work because they are about to fall off from being so cold you normally end up tripping up or loosing your balance which just looks even funnier when you're a radio active banana. That uniform really did nothing for my styling.

Any way I am no longer a radio active banana- which is very good!!!So this Christmas I have asked "Santa" to bring me some ASOS vouchers so I can go mad in the sales....I haven't spent loads of money in one go in ages...I feel I need more sparkly clothes in my life....saw a lovely peacock broach- in primark perfect for more sparkle. I have fallen in love with a beautiful dress which is teal and its sequins and its so pretty from french connection but its £165 so not in this months budget or many months after that I feel....!!! I have my own sequin dress which is from ASOS I bought a few months back...I love it. I wore it out and I remember demonstrating to my friend while walking up some stairs to the bathroom of a bar that it sounded like a rattle snake when I moved and promptly started to shake my bum to demonstrate this. Unfortunately I had not been aware of the gentle men who had been behind us on the stairs who was now grinning from ear to ear...I was fare to embarrassed to turn around so I just dashed into the bathroom and burst out laughing into fits of giggles with girlfriends while we established who actually needed the loo, who was just re-doing their lip gloss and who had come for the gossip. The dress certainly made the night interesting as I had to be careful how I sat down to as the sequins all had to be facing down otherwise I would bend them. It did take several attempt to master the skill which I got it down to a T though.

Any way my friend is popping over for a pot of tea at 2 and I am still in my Pj's and not at all presentable in my current state. So must dash so TOOOOODLES xxx

Mini New Yorker, her prince charming and a royal wedding....

So I have my Prince Charming, but I know there are some devastated ladies out there who had their dreams crushed of being P. Will's wife. Now for those who will be invited to the Royal wedding (which I won't be unfortunately) you will need something to wear... now weddings normally are fairly easy to buy for but like I say this is a whole different ball game. You can't just buy from the high street and it's got to be out standing.....so that's one dilemma but the other is obviously what to buy the happy couple.....? I think you could get the some art work-ie. from me he he!! I think some thing individual or unusual!!  Any way I will have some more thoughts on what the lucky people, who will be attending the wedding can give..... until then Toodles xx

What does Mini New Yorker and the British Cosmo Editor Louise Court have in common?

What Does Mini New Yorker and the British Cosmo Editor Louise Court have in common?

Answer: Apart from the obvious interest of fashion.....Yes thats right we both Love our Football, Louise Court's are Palace and her husband is a Chelsea supporter, mine are Reading and Liverpool and my boyfriend are Reading and Chelsea. Plenty of banter when the footy is on..which normally results in me boo-ing when Chelsea are playing just to wind up my boyfriend hehe-his response is "what a cheeky Mouse" (my nickname)!!

I do remember some friendly banter between me and my boyfriend when we were watching in one our local pub it was Liverpool v Chelsea-unfortunately Chelsea won 3-1- they basically wiped the floor with us. I remember my friend laughing at us because we were cheering different teams....me and my brother were supporting Liverpool but I think the the rest of the pub wanted Chelsea to win including my friend who I believe just went the majority vote.....lol!!

Any way I thought that was an interesting fact of the day....so got to dash so TOOOOODLES xxx

Mini New Yorker has dyed my hair a darker Autumn brown...

Got up pretty late this morning, as I was reading my book-I Heart Hollywood (which is actually on my iphone) I thought I may do some painting but yet again I haven't got round to it today. Then we went food shopping and had tiny little tiny sandwiches-cute

Well after umming and arrrrring I have dyed my hair a bit darker perfect for the autumn/winter. I think the box said cappucinno so I am now a blend of coffee....!!!  I have dyed my hair previously, I think the best time I dyed it would have been when I went plum....it was great it was so dark with a hint of plum....

Me now after I dyed my hair today                           Me with plum hair a couple of years ago.
(in my sexy spotty pj's)                                                          (me in a spotty shirt)

Right so dinner is nearly ready, we are having steaks which will be nice because we haven't had one for ages. So yum yum.....!!! Oh and a piping hot Apple crumble-oh my mum's apple crumble with our apples from our fruit trees in our garden are the best and we some time had hand picked berries from up on the lane too yum yum!!

Oh I almost forgot...I was minding my own business checking my Facebook page when a guy who I knew from school, popped up and said " I still think you're lovely" I obviously got a bit confused and thought he may have written on the wrong screen...!! I asked if he had got the right person as I thought I maybe had got me confused with some one else....!!! No he replied with he definitely meant me....!!! Then he said it was a shame I wasn't single...I was shocked....!! This is the second time this happened in so many months...why do guys think its ok to hit on women who are in relationships....!!! First a turkish guy while my boyfriend and I were on holiday and now this.....No idea why this keep happening.....men (but not my lovely boyfriend)!!! Any way I am off  now as the X Factor is on so toodles xx

Mini New Yorker Saturday= work, football, curry and X Factor..... in that order...lol!!

We got to the football just as the whistle went...we ran to get there.....well I did as I have very short legs and I was trying to keep with my boyfriend who is 6ft 2 with long legs!!.I sat down in my seat and said I think I need to go to the gym....!!! I was wear 3 tops and a coat and tights under my skinny jeans....I was sooo warm though....I have learnt from my previous mistakes of going to a football match and coming back with icicles hanging off the end of my nose and my feet like ice blocks....!!! I did loose my voice a bit as I do sing loudly when I am at a game....I am no Rebecca though from the X factor. The game was Brilliant....3-1 down and we thought we were out of the game we get three great goals and it could have been a lot more had we not hit the wood work or been inches wide...!!

<-Here's what I wore at the game....My hat I added my flower broach to it to give it a bit more glamour with my pink scarf and gloves....and you can't see but I had spotty socks poking over my boots-great way to wear bright/patterned long socks.....show them off....make a statement...!!!

We got back and had a lovely curry at cinammon in harpenden which my lovely boyfriend paid for....I had honey and mango chicken, it was soooo yummy but I was stuffed straight away I couldn't finish it! I think I am going to try and make it my self....!!

Then when we got home, we watched the Xfactor which we had recorded. I loved Aidan's shiny jacket....I would wear that....I am going to try and find one!! I also liked Katie's film premier dress.....black and gold are soooo in this season...so make sure you get your's for all the parties you will go to and start thinking about new years eve as you will need to get all glamorous for that too....!! I am having a romantic meal in for new years eve with my lovely boyfriend....lots of candles, yummy meal- I think mussels for starters-Yum Yum (perfect for a romatic meal so I am told..hehe!!) nice film ect ect...!! I'm still going to buy a new dress to wear though...!!! Any excuse...it's nearly 2am so I think it's time for Mini New Yorker to get some beauty sleep....I need all the help I can get lol!! so night night all and you Know it by now....SO TOODLES xxx

Mini New Yorker is off to a Football match...Yes I know the off side rule and yes I will be wearing a pink coat....

As a Women knowing the off side rule and getting it first time is a rare thing. I thought I would try and pass my wisdom on to my colleague, who only went to her first Football match the other day (and got rained on so she came out looking like a drowned rat) lol!! To demonstrate the "off side" rule to her I used my iPhone as mid fielder my cup of tea as the striker, a glass of water as the defender, a candle holder as a goal keeper and a guillotine as the goal...and a mini highlighter as a ball.....I showed her this which had us laughing as she said she would go home and show her boyfriend what she learnt at work today.....!!! Any way "Come on HOOPS!" I have been to many football ground the best was Obviously Anfield in Liverpool !  Oh yes if any one will be at the game or watching it then look out for me in my pink coat....Must dash Toodles xx

Mini New Yorker and fighting zombies in her dreams...

I just remembered my dream from last night...I was in a forest on some sort of camping trip/trek...I was wandering around when a white flog/mist roled across the forest and then the other people turned it to zombie....I am actually petrified of zombies....!!! So I ran to the bus which kinda looked like one of the grey hound buses in America!!! Any way the door on the bus was just about to shut and drive off when I jumped on shouting "wait for me" I got on the bus and we reverse out of the forest....but we were chased by zombies...I thought I had left my boyfriend behind because I couldn't find him but he was at the back of the bus trying to bash zombie off the rugs which were hanging out of the back window that they were climbing up and naturally thats were rugs would be....?? Any way I was fighting zombies at the front while we were driving a long...I think I may have punched one in the face...!! Eventually the mist roled back over and turned everyone back to normal....very odd dream but I am petrified of zombies....!!! Any way thank goodness it was only a dream....toodles xx

Mini New Yorker's Car decides it doesn't want to start just as I'm leaving work....

Just as it starts to rain as well, my car decided it didn't want to start and as I normally do when things like this happens I panic...! My first thought was "Oh great....the day I choose to where stilettos to work...." lol! Fashion on the brain even in a crisis!!! It's ok now though got home safely!!! Thank goodness as really didn't fancy standing in the rain!!! As I think after work tomorrow I will be going to watch Football, Reading Royals and it's more than likely going to rain!!! So actually I will need to make sure I am wrapped all warm!! Gloves, hat and scarf and a coat.....so because I'm a girl it's going to pink hat, pink coat and pink gloves...beacause I have already lost my purple gloves.....oh!!! Now what shoes to wear...I think I will wear my skiny jeans and boots with my nice spotty/stripy woolly socks or maybe one of each...as I never can find them as a pair at the same time...!!! lol!!! any way must dash Toodles xxx
